About Children's Medicine

Children's Medicine moved to Gwinnett County in 1979 where Jan Fitzgerald Soapes, M.D. was joined by Jennifer Duke Smart, M.D. and J. Vincent Vigil, M.D. The practice has grown to include partner physician Renee Renfus, M.D. as well as associates Prathyusha Mididoddi, M.D., Elaine Taylor, CPNP and Tasheeka Williams, CPNP. In July of 2019 Children's Medicine will be adding another provider, David Cazares, M.D.

Children's Medicine has locations in Lawrenceville and Suwanee.

All of our physicians and nurse practitioners are certified with their respective boards and follow the guidelines of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Although we have admitting privileges at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, we are an office based practice. If your child needs hospital admission, our relationship with CHOA allows us to easily arrange admission with the hospital based pediatricians.
